Geoffrey Witte originally studied Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking and Film Making in Falmouth and the Slade Art schools before heading to New York City to establish a studio loft in China Town, Manhattan.
In NYC, he established himself as a contemporary of Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Rosenquist amongst others and personally assisted Warhol in his studio and on silk screen work.
Many international assignments across varied disciplines saw him involved in set design, photography and sculpture with many significant commissions produced during his time in USA, Canada, UAE, Denmark , Norway and New Zealand.
He has held visiting lectureships around the globe including posts at the Slade, RWA and Dartington Hall in UK and Waikato Art society in New Zealand.
In 1992 he moved his studio to India and established a sculpture studio and teaching facility there.
He now bases himself between the Witte Studio in India and foundries and studios in Europe, Mexico and California to service sculpting and painting commissions as required.
